Alternative history

Tyler Davis, a history teacher from Ormond Beach, explains the daily life of a Nazi soldier in front of a group of visitors to the World War II Commemorative Day re-enactment in Bushnell. Despite the stigma of the word "Nazi," the way German soldiers lived is still a major part of WWII history, Davis said. Students in his history classes participate in the re-enactments as well. "Their parents love that they're getting out and away from their computers," he said.
